An opportunity has arisen for an experienced Assistant Accountant to join their team to provide effective and efficient support to the finance function.
About The Role
Reporting to the Financial Controller, the purpose of this permanent full-time position is to manage and undertake key operational activities related to the finance function.
The Main Responsibilities Of This Role Include
- Processing general ledger and capital expenditure recording and reconciliation.
- Processing of payroll journals, calculation, and payment of monthly payroll taxes.
- Assist in preparation of monthly BAS calculations and lodgement in an accurate and timely manner.
- Assist in the preparation of the monthly cash flow workings for purposes for cash flow statement reporting.
- Ensure all taxation and legislative requirements are complied with.
- Qualification in accounting, bookkeeping, payroll or similar.
- Demonstrated fundamental bookkeeping and accounting skills.
- Experience with ERP systems such as NetSuite.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to interact with key stakeholders in a professional manner.
- Strong attention to detail and accurate data entry skills.
