The Consumer Channels & Search tribe own many of the critical platforms that power the realestate.com.au consumer-facing website and apps.Each platform is treated as a product, with a dedicated squad who fully own their product from strategy through to execution, covering product development, operations, custodianship, and support.What The Role Is All AboutIn this role you will be responsible for the tribe engagement and delivery across your portfolio of products. You will take the lead at the inception phase to ensure that initiatives are scoped, planned and resourced appropriately. You will manage your team's budget and have full accountability for cost and workforce optimisation. Your responsibilities will include:
- Portfolio/program management using agile methods and cross-disciplinary teams
Project scoping and planning across multiple squads both within your tribe and beyondMonitor, control and report on progress of all tasks including prioritisation to ensure on-time delivery of key milestones and overall InitiativesEffective risk and issue managementStakeholder management and communication across all layers of the organisationBuilding happy and productive teamsBudget and resource management across multiple teamsDesigning and managing effective delivery processesContributing to the leadership team of your areaFinancial reporting including responsibility for capex and opex expensesManage, Negotiate and execute on any third party related IT Services and or Products relating to the TribeDriving a culture of operational excellence to ensure our systems are healthy and maintained and any incidents are effectively managedLine management and mentoring of 20+ team membersContributing to the REA project delivery knowledge base through blog posts, brown-bag sessions and coaching less experienced members of the teamLeading the Delivery Lead community of practice for REA Group
Who We're Looking For- Demonstrated experience in Program Management, Delivery Management or a comparable role
At least 8 years of industry experience in Project Management in a software development environmentExtensive experience in Agile Software DeliveryExperience in P&L ManagementCommercial experience in Vendor Management desirable but not mandatoryExperience in managing Stakeholders across large programs of workStrong Workshop & facilitation skills to help drive successful outcomesAbility to look at tricky situations through a solutions-focused lensThe REA ExperienceThe physical, mental, emotional and financial health of our people is something we'll never stop caring about.
