  • Responsibility to plan and execute one or more change portfolios that enable planned benefits and meets the portfolio objectives and key success criteria including cost, quality, risk, schedule, scope and satisfaction parameters including the co-ordination of sub programs and initiatives, portfolio level risks, issues and dependencies and compliance to the standard project management methodology at Rest.
  • Leading, managing and developing a team of program and project managers assigned to the portfolios including performance management, career development and quality oversight.
  • Work with our key internal and external partners to provide safe, efficient and effective portfolio management services, proactively manage our key PD stakeholder relationships including sponsors and the executive leadership team.
  • First point of contact for the portfolio sponsors and their delegates related to all things portfolio delivery including new initiative planning and resource engagement.
  • Support integrated project management capability uplift including the PM Practice, as well as PD business unit management including risk and interdependency management
Portfolio Governance
  • Work with Sponsors to establish the ongoing cadence of portfolio management
  • Support the portfolio teams and key stakeholders to collaboratively define and prioritise the portfolio roadmaps
  • Monitor, report and communicate the mobilisation, delivery and performance of the portfolios across the key delivery levers: outcomes, benefits, measures of success, portfolio finance, resourcing and risk.
  • Identify, escalate and expedite initiative and portfolio impediments
  • Identify, report and communicate dependencies between initiatives within and outside the portfolios
  • Collate key initiative and portfolio measures of success.
Portfolio ManagementDelivery Lifecycle
  • To assist the Head of Project Management Practice to embed adoption of the Delivery Lifecycle and its associated processes and collateral
  • To ensure key stakeholder and portfolio team members have adequate support through the Delivery Lifecycle, to leverage that appropriate governance and guardrail requirements and proceed through the approvals process
  • To support stakeholders within your portfolios, by compiling and assisting in the creation of the collateral inputs for the executive leadership team prioritization sessions.
Portfolio Finance
  • Assist the Finance team and delivery leads with portfolio and initiative financial management and reporting on budget, actuals, run rate and other financial KPIs at a portfolio level.
  • Assist portfolio stakeholders with the management of financials
Portfolio Risk
  • To work with the Portfolio Delivery and Risk and Compliance teams to maintain a holistic portfolio view of delivery and delivered risk
  • To support portfolio stakeholders by providing a clear view of initiative and delivered risk
Portfolio Resourcing
  • Assist portfolio stakeholders with workforce planning and the design of future operating models, by providing data and insights into portfolio resource requirements and capacity planning.
Initiative Governance
  • To provide feedback and input into standard initiative governance, including standard templates, policies and procedures.
  • To participate in the Project Management Practice to adopt standardised initiative governance.
  • To ensure portfolio stakeholders experience consistent engagement models with shared services teams and project teams.
Delivery Team Management
  • Assist the Practice Managers in hiring and support any required contract Project Management resources required for specific initiatives within your portfolios.
Program ManagementDelivery
  • Manage initiatives under the portfolios, from initiation through to closure, to ensure that initiatives are appropriately structured to achieve the maximum chance of success (time, budget, scope, quality). Ensure efficient and timely monitoring and reporting to required stakeholders
Financial Management
  • Manage the preparation of portfolio cost estimates for gating submission/funding approval, and subsequently manage and report portfolio finances against agreed costs, to; maximise operational efficiency, optimise the cost / benefits of resource mix, forecast and manage the cost impacts of scope change
Benefit and Measures of Success Management
  • Monitor benefits and Measures of Success against at a portfolio level and ensure all goal team members are informed and involved. Awareness of dependences between the initiatives within the portfolio teams and across external portfolios and their benefits and actively managing these in liaison with the impacted Rest business units and portfolio teams.
QualificationsAbout You:Qualifications
  • Tertiary qualifications in technology, project management or relevant business discipline
  • Project management certification
Required experience, understanding or credentials including:
  • Demonstrated experience in program management and leadership experience in financial services industry delivering similar portfolios size $5-10m and portfolios related business change
  • Experience in project management or other technology related discipline
  • Experience and training in agile and waterfall delivery approaches
  • Investments Portfolio Mgr. only: investments ecosystem and operating model knowledge is a must
