About the OPPORTUNITY
We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced leader to join our strategic surveillance Delivery Team based in South Australia.
In this role, will be responsible for the delivery of your stream projects and ensuring that the 11 Year Plan for the JORN capability is maintained.
Reporting to the Sustainment Capability Manager, you will manage 1 of the 3 Delivery Streams (product family groups) ensuring your allocated elements of the rolling 11 year Strategic Capability Program and Rolling Annual Program of Work (RAPW) are planned, managed and executed in accordance with the agreed requirements for technical, cost and schedule of the JORN Sustainment program.
You will be leading a team comprised of a Lead Engineer, Project Officers, Technical Support Network (TSN) of SMEs, OEMs & contractors.

Key responsibilities include:
- Leading your team to ensure works are planned, managed and executed in line with the Commonwealth and BAE Systems expectations, frameworks, policies & procedures
- Responsible for the planning and delivery of an Annual Program of Engineering Changes
- Manage the solutions and estimates including full lifecycle of the Engineering Changes (early engineering, design, procurement, installation and closeout etc.) for each task within the Program
- Support the Capability Delivery Manager and the Commonwealth with budget planning and forecasting
- Implement and follow the Project Management policies and processes across the Program
- Ensure effective resource management and identification of resource requirements to meet current and future needs.
- Supporting the delivery of Strategic and Program objectives
- Managing both internal and external stakeholders where required
- Tertiary qualifications in Project Management or Engineering (desirable)
- Demonstrated experience in a Project or Engineering management role within the Defence, Electrical Infrastructure or Power Sector will be advantageous
- Previous experience successfully managing a diverse project team
- Demonstrated knowledge of project management and problem solving principles
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Sound knowledge of Microsoft office suite of programs
- NV1 Security Clearance
