The Star Sydney is currently accepting applications for a Demi Chef to join our Black Bar & Grill team at our beautiful property in Sydney. In this crucial role you will assist supervising the organisation of sections to be prepared in line with the Sous Chef’s direction. You will work closely on daily specials, support specific stations, and provide mentorship to team members under your direction.

What are we looking for?

• Culinary qualifications such as Commercial Cookery Cert III, is required
• Prior experience in an up-market and high volume operation
• Someone who is able to work in a fast-paced environment
• Knowledge of European, Australian or Asian cooking styles
• Full-working rights to commit to work across mornings, evenings, weekends and public holidays
• Ability to work collaboratively and build positive relationships with others
