We are a well-established family dental practice in Balgownie. The practice consists of three treatment rooms with three dentists and an oral health therapist. Our practice is completely computerised, using Dental4Windows and Centaur Media Suite, digital x-ray.
You would be joining a team that are continuously improving our skills and knowledge, as well as keeping up with the latest procedures and equipment.
In Balgownie Village, there are cafes, a bakery, hairdressers, beauticians, parks and more.
About the role
This is a casual Dental Assistant position.
We are looking for a highly motivated, competent, and reliable Dental Assistant with an outstanding work ethic to join our team.
Days required – two - three days a week.
The position will involve.
- Welcoming patients into the practice
- Preparing patients for treatments and ensuring their comfort.
- Infection control and waste management.
- Surgery preparation.
- Sterilisation of instruments according to guidelines and regulations.
- Chair side assisting in all clinical areas.
- Undertaking of lab tasks as instructed.
- Provision of oral hygiene and post-operative care instructions, as required.
- Assistance in maintaining accurate patient records.
- Basic administrative tasks, appointment scheduling, payments, and the making and receiving of phone calls.
- Prepared to work at short notice and long hours if required.
Skills and experience
About you
- Experienced Dental Assistant.
- Knowledge of dental instruments, infection control and sterilisation methods.
- Understanding of health and safety regulations.
- Ability to multitask.
- Self-motivated.
- Good computer skills - Dental4Windows experience preferred.
- Processing digital radiographs.
- Excellent communication and great people skills.
- Attention to detail.
- Well organised, trustworthy, impeccable work ethic and reliable.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
