Key responsibilities:

1. Assist dentists during dental procedures by handing them instruments, taking X-rays, and providing chairside support.
2. Prepare treatment rooms for dental procedures by ensuring all instruments and equipment are sterilised and organised.
3. Welcome patients and escort them to the treatment area, making them feel comfortable and at ease.
4. Develop dental X-rays as instructed by dentists, ensuring high-quality images for diagnosis and treatment planning.
5. Maintain accurate patient records and documentation, including treatment plans and medical histories.
6. Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of the dental office, including disinfecting surfaces and sterilising instruments.
7. Adhere to infection control protocols and maintain compliance with relevant health and safety regulations.

Qualifications:

1. Certificate III in Dental Assisting or equivalent qualification required.
2. At least 2 years experience working as a Dental Assistant preferred.
3. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients and team members.
4. Attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
5. Proficiency in dental software systems and basic computer skills.
6. Knowledge of dental terminology, procedures, and instruments.
7. Ability to maintain confidentiality of patient information and adhere to ethical standards.
8. Current First Aid and CPR certification preferred.
