Department Operations ManagerUOM 8: $ 119,742 - $ 129,607 per annum + 17% super 

As required by clause 1.15.9 of the 2024 EA, after seven days of internal advertising, current casual or fixed-term employees of the University will be provided with prior opportunity to apply for and be considered for vacant continuing positions if they meet the following criteria: 

  • they have been employed by the University over two or more semesters and over two consecutive calendar years, 
  • they have been employed on a 0.5 FTE or more time fraction, and
  • they have the skills, experience, qualifications, and expertise required by the Selection Criteria.

In addition, redeployment candidates will be given a prior opportunity under the Recruitment and Appointment Policy together; this cohort is known as Priority Candidates.

About The Roles
We are seeking to fill multiple roles in our Strategy, Planning and Resources team across our Departments of Accounting, Economics, Finance, Management and Marketing, and the Melbourne Institute. These positions are available full-time and will be continuing appointments.

The Department Operations Manager roles present an exciting opportunity for experienced Operations Managers to join our dynamic Strategy, Planning and Resources team. Reporting to the Department Senior Manager, you will each play a crucial role in leading the delivery of strategic and operational objectives across teaching, research, and engagement activities within your respective departments. With a focus on high performance and effective stakeholder management, these roles offer unique opportunities to contribute to the Faculty's strategic priorities while fostering a culture of collaboration and innovation within the team.
