CCQ delivers the primary health network (PHN) program for Central Queensland, Wide Bay and Sunshine Coast on behalf of the Commonwealth Department of Health.  CCQ has an ambitious agenda to design and deliver world recognised primary health outcomes for the people in their region. Achieving this will require CCQ as a commissioning organisation to not only focus on primary health service provision, but also the environmental, social and cultural determinants of health which support communities to live their best lives. CCQ’s diverse and region covers 161,108 km2 from Sunshine Coast to Rockhampton and across to Emerald.

Reporting to the Executive Director of Health and Wellbeing, the Deputy Director Education provides strategic and operational leadership of CCQ’s continuing professional development and workforce initiatives. This position is a member of the Health & Wellbeing team, which ensures CCQ partners with health and social service organisations and builds capability in primary care workforce to promote wellness and keep people out of hospital. 

The successful applicant will be a registered clinician with expertise in delivering education and training to health care professionals, be passionate about driving improvements to health outcomes through person centred care. Committed to supporting primary health care professionals to deliver high quality health services in rural communities you will advocate interdisciplinary learning approaches and drive integration through team-based models of care. You will embrace innovative models of learning via technology, adult learning principles and be experienced in the management and development of online learning and learning management systems.
