As the Deputy Director-General, Procurement, you will lead the Queensland Government Procurement (QGP) Division, designing and implementing whole-of-government procurement strategies to ensure government purchasing significantly contributes to the Queensland economy and job market. Your role will entail strategic leadership across the public sector, through an agency-led, centrally enabled procurement model that champions innovation and sets the bar for best practices while ensuring consistency in approach.
What you will do:
- Lead a team in implementing Buy Queensland 2023, the Queensland Government's procurement strategy and policy.
- Lead government engagement with the procurement industry.
- Work across government to implement category management strategies.
- Drive transformative projects such as transitioning the government vehicle fleet to a 100% EV fleet by 2026.
- Promote and support a performance-driven workplace culture of equity, diversity, respect, and inclusion within the team.

- Demonstrated ability to articulate a clear vision for Queensland Government Procurement and lead the implementation of strategies and policies.
- Takes a system-wide approach to issues, leveraging data-driven insights and perspectives to propose solutions within an agency-led, centrally enabled model.
- Proficient in using data analytics for strategic procurement and fleet management outcomes.
- Excellent relationship management skills, fostering trust, respect, and integrity with customer agencies and stakeholders.
