The Health Service operates four distinct programs at The Alfred campus, Caulfield Hospital, Melbourne Sexual Health Service and Sandringham Hospital, with emergency departments at The Alfred and Sandringham hospitals.
We invite applications for the position of Deputy Director Emergency Services - Quality & Risk.
Reporting to the Director of Emergency Services, this role is responsible for professional managerial leadership and optimisation of clinical outcomes and performance through the application of quality systems and evidence-based practice in the Emergency Departments at The Alfred and Sandringham hospitals. This role is vital to the ongoing quality and safety of the Alfred Health Emergency team. It will be responsible for overseeing compliance and quality improvement activities and managing investigations and responses to clinical incidents and complaints. This role will work closely with the Director of Emergency Services in ensuring compliance with Alfred Health and Department of Health regulations.
Applicants must be legally qualified medical practitioners, registered or registrable with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency, and hold Fellowship with the Australasian College for Emergency Medicine (ACEM). Applicants must demonstrate relevant contemporary knowledge and experience in Emergency Medicine and meet Alfred Health requirements for credentialing and scope of practice in Emergency Medicine.
