As the Deputy Head, Infrastructure, you will inspire, guide and lead a highly engaged and skilled team of over 220 staff with five direct reports. You will play a leadership role in ensuring that the Bank’s technology services remain resilient and secure as the Bank modernises its infrastructure services.
Key Responsibilities
Maintain the stability and security of infrastructure services that support nationally critical business services.
Lead the development and maintenance of a high reliability culture with a continuing focus on continuing reduction in incident frequency and impact.
Lead the ongoing evolution of infrastructure services to take advantage of new technologies, management techniques and operating models to drive continuing improvement in security, effectiveness, efficiency and compliance.
Drive continuing high levels of staff engagement and skills acquisition to ensure the Bank has the right mix of expertise and experience to support its technology services.
As a member of the IT Leadership team, contribute to the development and delivery of the Bank's technology strategy and operational priorities.
Drive simplification and improve resilience across the technology landscape and foster a climate of innovation.
Your background
To be successful in this critical role, you will:
Have strong IT infrastructure and project delivery experience, including experience across core infrastructure, end-user technology, Cloud, DevOps and automation.
Experience in leading large teams, including managing senior IT leaders with an emphasis on staff and capability development.
An ability to develop, implement and communicate a strategic vision to diverse stakeholders including at Executive and Board level.
Have experience in building and maintaining a high reliability operating culture.
Experience in cloud migration will be highly regarded.
Exceptional interpersonal skills to collaborate, influence and partner effectively with key stakeholders across the Reserve Bank and externally.
