This is a nine (9) month fixed term, full-time position commencing Term 2, 2024.
Inglewood Primary School (PS) is seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Deputy Principal to join their highly collaborative team environment.
The successful applicant should adopt a coaching and mentoring mindset, supporting teachers with student progress and achievement as well as strengthening whole school health and wellbeing. The successful applicant will work in a team with the School Psychologist, Wellbeing Officer and Learning Support Coordinator.
We are seeking a collaborative and team focused Deputy Principal with high interpersonal skills and open communication skills. Additionally, the successful applicant should support teachers with whole school approaches and work positively with teachers and colleagues in an instructional capacity.
At Inglewood PS we have connected classrooms, evidence informed pedagogy and strong relationships with colleagues and community. Inglewood PS is a unique learning environment with 3 sites (Kindergarten, Pre-Primary and a main site for Year 1 to Year 6.) The Deputy Principal should manage coordination of Students at Educational Risk across the 3 sites with their strong understanding of student support services.

This selection process will initially be used to fill the above vacancy. Applicants assessed as suitable during this selection process may be considered for other similar vacancies that occur throughout our school for up to 12 months following this initial appointment. This includes circumstances where this position becomes subsequently vacant should the successful applicant decline or vacate the advertised position.
To be suitable for this role, you will need to demonstrate the following work related requirements:
- Capacity to provide effective leadership in a diverse range of educational settings;
- High level of interpersonal and public relations skills that demonstrate the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships to achieve planned outcomes;
- Professional knowledge and the ability to apply this knowledge to ensure a high level of educational outcomes for all students (e.g. Aboriginal students, students from diverse ethnic backgrounds and students with special needs).
- Capacity to manage staff, physical and financial resources.
