About Gordonvale State High School
Gordonvale State High School is located 25 minutes south of Cairns. The school is a Year 7-12 High School catering to the needs of 800 students. Our school motto is: Strive to Excel. About the Role
The role will focus on the following:
- Development and implementation of multi tiered systems of support.
- The student component will focus on the support and case management of yr 9 and 10.
Key responsibilities of the role include:
- Assist the Principal to lead the school community to develop, articulate and commit to a shared educational vision focussed on providing quality learning outcomes for all students.
- Deputise for the Principal when required.
- Uphold the Deputy Principalship as a values based, ethical and moral activity.
- Embed socially just practices in daily school life.
About You
Within the context of the role, the ideal applicant will have the following key capabilities:
- Demonstrated teaching competence and capacity to provide curriculum leadership leading to the achievement of quality learning outcomes for all students.
- Demonstrated strong interpersonal skills and the capacity to develop and sustain productive relationships within and beyond the school community.
- Capacity to use analytical skills to contribute to educational outcomes at the school level.
- Capacity to manage effectively human, financial and physical resources to deliver high quality organisational outcomes.
