SalaryThe role is within the North Queensland (NQ) Region based at the Townsville Magistrates Court reporting to the Deputy Senior Registrar.
The Deputy Registrar role provides management and leadership in the operation of the registry (criminal and civil jurisdictions), including contributing to the achievement of success in stakeholder engagement and service improvement.
The role supports the judiciary courts’ users and Courts Service Queensland partners through leading and supervising a skilled team of staff, making effective use of registry resources and making informed statutory decisions.

You will be expected to provide strong effective leadership to the Magistrates Court at Townsville.
Further, assist to manage the daily operations (including the coordination of court proceedings) of the Magistrates Court registry and contribute to a culture of excellence in service delivery, innovation and continuous improvement.
You will need to ensure compliance with all administrative systems including data integrity, as well as, processes and procedures by establishing and communicating clear objectives and guidelines, monitoring performance indicators, taking corrective action where required and reviewing procedures.
Finally, build and maintain professional and collaborative relationships with judicial officers, courts' users, community groups and stakeholders to provide effective service delivery and support.
