Design and Technology Maintenance Officer

Role Details
Under the direction of the Head of Department – Design and Technology, the Design and Technology Maintenance Officer is responsible for the daily organisation of the Technology Centre.
This includes ensuring resources are well stocked, equipment is in working order, materials are prepped for student projects and support for student ‘in-class’ as requested by teaching staff and a strong knowledge of Safety, Risk and Compliance.

Qualifications and Experience
- Experience in a similar roll
- Broad range of handyman skills
- Knowledge of workshop practices
- Strong knowledge of Safety, Risk and Compliance practices
- Ability to design, construct and manage small projects
- Forklift license (desirable)
- Trade qualifications or equivalent (electrical, cabinet marking, carpenter, fitter, boiler maker or maintenance technician (desirable)
- IT skills familiar with a range of software packages (desirable)
