The CPB Contractors, Ghella & UGL joint venture has been successful in securing the contract to deliver the $3.1bn M6 Stage 1 project. The project will deliver the missing link from Sydney's south to the wider Sydney motorway network making journeys easier, faster and safer. It will remove more than 2,000 trucks a day from surface roads and help return local streets to local communities.
With works commenced in 2022, the M6 Stage 1 project scope includes the construction of twin four-kilometre tunnels and associated works, linking the M8 Motorway at Arncliffe to President Avenue at Kogarah.
The Opportunity
We are currently seeking applications for a Design Coordinator in our Design and Engineering team on the Project!
This role will be responsible for the following:
- Assist the Design Manager to plan and control the delivery of project design to ensure the achievement of quality, completion and profit objectives
- Monitor and evaluate the work of designers allocated to the project to ensure that their progress meets requirements
- Assist in the design approval process by coordinating issue resolution
- Assist with the client and stakeholder expectations and communicate effectively with the project team
- Collate information and report against budgets
- Understand design compliance and reporting procedures and processes
- Review designs in line with statutory and legislative, construction and operational requirements
- Facilitate the resolution of any design issues from a technical and/or construction perspective
- Monitor and assist in any Design Change Requests
About You
- Bachelors Degree in engineering
- High level of conceptual and analytical skills

- Critical Thinking and Analytical Ability
The successful candidate will be required to hold a current Construction Industry Induction Card (White Card or equivalent) and undergo a medical assessment (including drug and alcohol testing) prior to commencement.
