The Role
The primary focus of this role is to provide operational subject matter expertise (SME) to the Transport and Warehouse Operations team for all systems used within Logistics Operations. This will cover a range of activities including new deployments, continuous improvement, and daily support of Logistics Operational Systems.
Key Responsibilities
Implementing the rollout strategy and framework of Logistics Operational Systems to key PFD sites around the country (including Manhattan WMS, PFD WMS and other operations systems)
Support of site-specific implementation plans; incorporate system configuration, site layout, processes, slotting, labelling requirements
Provide first level support to the operations team members inclusive of project go lives (note this would require working different shifts based on operating hours and days)
Developing all training and assessment material, training delivery and operational support during the project life cycle Incorporating user and quick reference guides, assessment and competencies and system Standard Operating Procedures (S.O.P’s)
Support operational teams in continuous improvement analysis, solution refinement and implementation of optimisation strategies
Monitoring of systems to continuously improve functionality and to troubleshoot problems
Provide support on other logistics projects as required
Key Competencies, Skills and Qualifications
Experience working with a tier -1 full scale warehouse management system desirable (Preferably Manhattan)
A working knowledge of warehouse (ambient and cold store environment) and distribution functions
An understanding of distribution demand/supply business processes
Demonstrated ability to implement new system functionality and support end users
Experience in developing a training needs analysis & training material in both 1 on 1 & classroom environment
Project implementation experience
A solid knowledge of OH & S regulations
Excellent interpersonal and collaboration skills with the ability to develop strong working relationships
Ability to travel when required and support off shift hours and weekends on occasion as required
