Visual execution
· Bring brand strategy to life as brand expression and help create brand identities and assets for our clients.
· Brainstorm initial ideas and carry them through to concept development and visualisations—ultimately taking the expression through to a system based on strategy, principles and final implementation.
· Manage the delivery of brand identities, printed and digital assets and brand manuals to our standard of excellence.
· High level of attention to detail, ensuring brand consistency and high-quality design across all projects.
· Collaborate closely with designers, photographers, videographers and other creative professionals to ensure that the creative direction aligns with the brand's objectives.
· Oversee the conceptualization and development of creative assets, including but not limited to printed publications, advertisements, websites, social media content, videos, and more.
· Know when to follow design rules, and when to break them.
Project management and job costing
· Quoting, estimating and delegating required effort, ensuring optimal resource allocation for design projects.
· Oversee multiple studio projects, maintain quality control, manage budgets, and ensure timely delivery, all while nurturing a positive team culture.
· Manage and maintain client communications, ensuring the client is kept up to date on project status at all times.
· Build relationships with internal stakeholders and manage external supplier and vendor relationships, maintaining high standards throughout.
Leadership and development
· Provide guidance, leadership, training and creative advice to the design team, ensuring that the design work meets high standards of quality and creativity.
· Oversee quality control, including proofing, reviewing, creative output and project processes.
· Foster a collaborative and innovative design culture within the team, promoting excellence in design execution, providing clear direction, mentorship, and constructive feedback ensuring that the final output aligns with the project's goals.
· Collaborate with the cross-functional teams to develop outstanding creative work that delivers above client expectations.
· Contribute to agency culture by encouraging a vibrant, fun and hard working environment; support a team-focused and positive approach to all briefs and pitches, plus deliver innovation, proactive and constructive responses for all projects briefed.
· Manage and communicate growth opportunities and innovative ideas to the Leadership Team.
· Team training and development
· Stay up-to-date with current trends in the world of design / art / fashion / creativity / culture and bring that information and enthusiasm for popular culture into the design studio everyday
· Evaluate and recommend tools, technologies, and partnerships that enhance the design workflow and capabilities.
Skills and Experience Required
· Degree in a related field and a minimum of 6 years of experience
· 100% credible in our core discipline of graphic design and motion graphics
· A curious thinker with the desire to challenge, surprise and stretch everyone around you.
· Have a generous and collaborative nature, giving others space and encouragement to grow.
· Have the awareness to lead by example and always be willing to roll up your sleeves.
· Have a mature and perspective personality – able to read and understand complex situations and others motivations.
· Never afraid to offer an opinion or ask others theirs.
· Outstanding design skill, excellent command of all relevant graphic design and layout software
· including Adobe Creative Suite and MS Office.
· Strong planning and organisational skills; ability to manage multiple projects in cross-functional collaboration
