We are looking for a Design Manager/ Engineering Manager to join our team in Osborne Park. Reporting to the GM – Engineering, you will be assigned to lead the detailed design on one of our many minerals or energy projects.
Role Deliverables:
- Ensure compliance of project design products with the Design Procedure.
- Ensure design products comply with applicable legislation, standards, client, third party and project requirements.
- Ensure technical compliance of design products.
- Ensure design products are delivered in accordance with the project schedule and budget.
- Weekly update of design progress, issues, holds, change, risk, and deliverables register.
- Hold and minute weekly meetings as per the Design Procedure.
- Ensure designs are fit for purpose and consider all aspects, including, cost, constructability, operability, and maintainability.
Desirable Skills and Experience:
- Tertiary Degree in Engineering (ideally Mechanical).
- 10+ years' experience in a related field.
- Chartered Professional Engineer (desired).
- Proven ability to manage a team of design professionals.
- Detailed understanding of multi-discipline design delivery within relevant industry.
- Solid understanding of statutory and industry regulations and HSE practices.
- Knowledge and practical application of design theories, principles, and practices.
- Advanced level of expertise with engineering technical detail.
- Exceptional planning and organisation skills.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
- Commitment to continued professional development.
- Strong work ethic.
