Welcome to the fast-paced, ever-changing world of Fashion Accessories!  We design, produce and deliver thousands of styles across Jewellery, Hair Accessories, Kids Accessories, Watches, Bags as well as branded merchandise for Disney, Marvel, Frozen, Spiderman, Barbie, Hot Wheels, Tradie and more. 

Our products are found in Australia’s and New Zealand’s leading retail groups including Cotton On, Kmart, Target, Big W, Culture Kings, LSKD and others.  Our Design Team develops hundreds of styles each season and we need a passionate, on-point Product Designer to help create and curate these items.  In this role you will not only design but be involved with product sourcing, sampling, packaging, trend forecasting and gain an understanding of all inputs required to get our products to our retailers seamlessly, accurately and efficiently. 

We’re located just off the highway half-way between Brisbane & the Gold Coast or easily accessible from Western suburbs as well.  Under the one roof we design, develop, pick, pack and distribute nationally. 

This is a pivotal role that will see you dealing with our established factory base in Asia, working on ranges from inception through to delivery and ensuring our Retail Partners have all the right info required to review, approve and order products. 

Escape the mundane - you will be working across various ranges, brands, seasons and tasks.  Your core interactions & responsibilities will include a variety of functions and never the same every day:

• Design of seasonal ranges in conjunction with the Design Director
• Generate detailed product & packaging drawings
• Create various presentation pages and documents for specific brands, events and clients
• Seasonal trend research using fashion forecast sites, internet research, comparison shopping and analysis
• Creating Trend Boards for presentation to Clients
• Efficiently and accurately respond to all the Client's requests for information
• Compilation of range catalogues each season – including editing of product images
• Assist in Quality control of all pre-production samples and stock as it arrives in the warehouse

It’s all about you!  Key requirements and skills we’re loving:

• Excellent working knowledge of the Adobe suite, in particular Illustrator, Photoshop and In-Design 
• Preferably, with proven experience in Product Design
• A commercial approach to Product Design with consideration to materials, costings, manufacturing processes and delivering product to suit the Client's target market
• An avid interest in Fashion Accessories and key seasonal trends
• Highly detailed with strong planning and organisational skills
• A positive attitude coupled with a solid work-ethic
• Ability to work in a collaborative manner within a team environment
• Proactive approach to problem solving
• Experience in dealing directly with China based factories is favourable, Chinese language skills would be a bonus
