Designation / Job title :  Desktop Support/Level2-261312-Developer Programmer

Primary or Mandatory skills :-

Minimum 9.5 years of real time experience in below technologies:

Technical Support: Strong expertise in providing technical support to desktop systems, including troubleshooting software and hardware issues, troubleshooting network issues, and ensuring the quality of the desktop environment works well.

Programming Languages: Proficiency in programming languages ​​related to software development such as Java, C++, Python, or .NET. The ability to write clean, efficient, and well-documented code is essential.

Software Development: Experience and skills in software development, including developing, coding, testing and debugging software applications. Knowledge of software development processes, version control systems, and software testing methods is valuable.

Operating Systems: Deep understanding and working knowledge of various operating systems including Windows, macOS, and Linux. Familiarity with configuration management tasks and configuration of desktop environments is beneficial.

Networking and Security: Knowledge of networking concepts, protocols, and troubleshooting networking problems in a desktop environment. Understanding of security best practices and ability to implement security policies for desktop systems.

Responsible for leading design and implementation of Sailpoint IdentityIQ which includes implementing the required IAM controls, identifying any process improvements and to onboard enterprise applications along with birthright automation.

Responsible for managing the access management products (CyberArk, OKTA, EPM, PKI and 1password)

Customer Service: Commitment to excellent customer service and support for end users. Patience, empathy, and the ability to manage difficult situations are essential in assisting users with technical issues.

Problem-Solving and Analytical Skills: Strong problem-solving skills to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues effectively. Analytical skills are required to solve problems and identify the root causes of problems. Excellent communication skills to communicate with end users, technical teams and stakeholders. The ability to communicate technical concepts in a clear and understandable manner is critical. Communication skills are also valuable in working effectively in a team environment. Proficiency in developing technical documentation, including system specifications, implementation instructions, and problem solving. Clear and concise documentation helps in knowledge sharing and future research.

Good to have skills :

  • PowerShell Scripting, SCCM technology, Microsoft Intune, CyberArk, OKTA, EPM, Azure Administration, Azure Security, VMWare, Citrix, Bash and Python, Jave, .net, MDM, ITIL, SQL Server, CyberSecurity, Security Frameworks like ISO 27001, Software Deployment Tools, Active Directory, O365, Power BI

Detailed Job description : -

As a Desktop Support/Level 2 Developer Programmer your primary responsibilities are to provide technical support for desktop systems and participate in software development and programming tasks You will handle, troubleshoot, and monitor a variety of software and hardware issues that the desktop systems will work properly. In addition, you will work with the development team to enhance existing software applications and develop new functionality.

Desktop Support:

  • Provide technical assistance and support to end users in a desktop computing environment.
  • Troubleshoot and repair software, hardware, and network.
  • Ensure desktop systems are properly installed, configured and maintained.
  • Respond to user inquiries and provide appropriate solutions to technical issues.

L2 Support:

  • Act as a second level of escalation for complex technical issues that cannot be resolved with level 1 support.
  • Investigate and analyze advanced technical problems, applying your design and problem-solving skills.
  • Partner with Level 3 support or technical staff to address complex issues and find appropriate solutions.

Software Development:

  • Collaborate with the development team to design, code and test software applications. 
  • Develop and maintain existing software systems based on user requirements. 
  • Participates in the development lifecycle including requirements gathering, design, implementation and testing. 
  • Debug and fix software errors to keep the application stable and functional.

Technical Manual:

  • Create and update technical documentation, including system specifications, user guides, and troubleshooting procedures. Provide clear and concise instructions to end users and support staff. 

Collaboration and Communication: 

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, network administrators, and system analysts. Communicate effectively with stakeholders, both technical and non-technical, to understand their requirements and provide appropriate solutions.
