Where the team fits in
As part of the Trust Experience Squad in Consumer, we are seeking a talented mid-level iOS developer to join our team. You will play a crucial role in shaping the future of REA’s privacy evolution (part of Program Propel) working across our realestate.com.au experiences.
Collaborate with our cross-functional team to implement our robust privacy goals.
Contribute to the overall technical solution design and product direction
Learn and teach - we are constantly learning together, mentoring each other and striving to do things better.
Work with other teams in the business to deliver shared goals and outcomes
What the role is all about
Contributing to Privacy native initiatives in the Trust Experience squad by design, developing, and testing, and deploying high-quality iOS applications
Supporting the Delivery Lead on planning and tracking progress and quality.
Supporting an after-hours on-call roster
Engaging with the wider native community across the organisation, identifying opportunities to share and learn
An appreciation of software engineering principles and a can-do attitude with an ability to own problems and see things through.
Who we’re looking for
Demonstrated experience in software engineering using Swift. Kotlin is a plus
Demonstrated experience with platform APIs and UI toolkits on iOS such as SwiftUI, UIKit and Foundation APIs
A passion for iOS and an intrigue in Android
An interest in the privacy domain
Collaborate and communicate effectively with cross-functional team members
Communicate technical concepts and challenges to non-technical stakeholders
Demonstrated knowledge of software design patterns and best practices for software development
Demonstrated experience using common testing practices
Demonstrated understanding of common mobile application architectures
Active contribution to technical decision-making process
Looks at tricky situations through a solutions-focused lens
Coaching less experienced members
Work productively in a fast paced and agile environment - #gsd (urban dictionary will help on this one!)
