Development Engineer We are looking for a suitably qualified and experienced Development Engineer to join the Planning Services team. You will be responsible for the provision of engineering advice, the assessment of engineering aspects of development, and inspecting civil works relevant to the assessment, determination and implementation of a broad range of development applications and approvals across the City.
The successful applicant will have:A commitment to quality customer service. Problem solving and decision-making abilities and the ability to recommend workable solutions. Ability to work both as part of a team and autonomously on specific projects.
A high standard of written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to listen, understand, research to provide advice to developers, consultants, members of the public and other work areas of Council. Qualifications required:A Degree in Civil Engineering or a related field with:experience in a Development Engineering role in Local Government; orroad and stormwater asset design and/or civil construction experience in either the public or private sector. Position Hours: Full-Time, 75 hours per fortnight – 9-day fortnight, with RDO.
To attract the right candidate the hours for this position are negotiable and requests for flexibility are welcomed.Salary range:$108,051.34 to $121,609.78 plus superannuation.
