Development Engineer - Stormwater

Things We’ll Trust You With:
- Contribute to the strategic intent of the Development Assessment teams to facilitate land use and development that balances our community, environment and economy.
- Assessment of development proposals and their potential impact on the natural, built and social environment with specific consideration to engineering issues and flooding.
- Using your excellent interpersonal skills and ability to communicate respectfully with a diverse range of customer and internal stakeholders.
- Actively sharing your knowledge with team members and contribute to building a culture based on collaboration and continuous service improvement.
Things You’ll Do:
- Providing specialist engineering input / or determination of Development applications, specifically in regard to flooding and water quality advice across a broad range of development types and varying degrees of complexity.
- Assist in the preparation and review of plans which will provide controls in respect to developments and land use matters.
- Be exposed to a wide range of development types and projects that only a career in local government can offer.
- Champion excellent customer service and establish and maintain strong stakeholder relationships, winning respect at all levels and constructively dealing with difficult issues as they arise.

The Fine Print:

- Package: $82,668 - $112,912 gross p.a. plus superannuation
- Hours of work: Temporary 12 month contract, full time 35 hours per week with the option of 19 day month flexitime
