Overview:
Mullin’s SA/HO Branch, based in Salisbury is seeking an Accounts & Administration Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for office management and excellent communication skills. Key Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive administrative support, ensuring efficient daily operations
- Independently manage accounts payable
- Ensure accuracy of supplier invoices matched to purchase orders and correct GL account
- Reconcile supplier statements for EOM and check for recharges
- Raise EFT runs in Pronto EOM and Weekly for approval by Financial Controller
- Reconcile and enter company credit cards every month
- Support accounts receivable in taking account enquiries from customers and internally. Receipting into Pronto of EFT, credit card and cash payments daily.
- Back up Accounts Receivable Clerk when needed. Normally EOM and when they are on leave. Receipting into Pronto of EFT, credit card and cash payments daily.
- Back up Import Clerk when they are on leave. Processing of import documentation.
- Answer main incoming telephone line when Receptionist away from desk
- Collaborate effectively with the existing administrative team in a supportive and professional manner
This position reports directly to the Financial Controller, SA/HO, in relation to all activities.
The ideal Candidate:
- Proven experience in an administrative role (required).
- Experience in an Accounts role and/or Diploma in Accounting would be an advantage
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel & emails and the ability to navigate various IT systems
- Strong organizational skills and a meticulous attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including a confident telephone presence.
- A proactive, positive, and flexible attitude, with the ability to manage time effectively.
- A willingness to work independently while also thriving in a collaborative environment.
- Experience with accounting software (Pronto, or similar) an advantage, but not essential.
