The Opportunity:
Komatsu’s Autonomous Haulage System (AHS) managed by the Mining Automation Department is the leader in supporting Autonomous trucks and systems across Australia. Our AHS technology has delivered proven benefits in safety, productivity, system flexibility in an array of mining environments.
We are now offering several opportunities to trades personnel who are eager to develop their skills on our Autonomous Trucks & Systems. We also encourage trade personnel with a background in defence, construction, road transport, aviation or automotive industries to apply. These roles will enable the successful candidate an opportunity to gain exposure & training in the field of automation and develop a long rewarding career with Komatsu.
Reporting to the AHS Area Manager, you will provide a high level of customer facing support for AHS and be committed to continuously improving the support of Autonomous Haul System. This role will be supported by our skilled team of engineers in our 24/7 support centre.
Role Located: FIFO Perth - multiple sites to choose from across Western Australia
Roster: 8/6 or 7/7 – rotating days/nights

What we are looking for:
- Possess a trade qualification such as either of the following or equivalent:
- Certificate III in Mobile Plant Technology
- Certificate III in Diesel Fitting
- Certificate III in Engineering Mechanical
- Certificate III in Electrical Engineering
- Certificate III in Aircraft Maintenance Engineering
- Previous experience servicing and maintaining Komatsu equipment (preferable but not essential)
- Previous experience within a similar work environment such as defence, construction, road transport, automotive, aviation
- Ability to build strong internal and customer relationships
- Always have a high standard of Customer service whilst always promoting Komatsu Products and Services
- A commitment to HSE by demonstrating safe behaviour at all times
