Bankstown Hospital is recruiting for a Dietitian Assessment to complement and enhance the current team.

What You'll be Doing
This position is part of the Bankstown-Lidcombe Hospital Nutrition & Dietetics Department. The Dietitian Assistant assists in maintaining a high standard of nutritional care for all inpatients by obtaining and managing daily menu choices, interviewing patients for their food preference, supporting the Dietitians in monitoring of oral intake and liaising with Food Services on the day to day provision of meals to patients.

Bankstown-Lidcombe Hospital is located in the city of Bankstown and is in one of the most multicultural local government areas (LGA) in Australia. This hospital has tertiary affiliations with three universities and offers a range of roles and experiences to employees.

How to Apply
To be considered for this position, please ensure you address the selection criteria as thoroughly as possible. * Certificate IV in Allied Health Assistance (Nutrition &Dietetics) or Certificate III AHA (Nutrition &Dietetics) or equivalent qualification or minimum 12 months full-time equivalent relevant experience working as a Dietitian Assistant in a hospital with a commitment to commence Certificate IV within 12 months.

  • Good current knowledge of nutrition and therapeutic diets.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills, and customer relations skills and experience.
  • Demonstrated understanding of the quality improvement process.
  • Demonstrated ability to work individually and as part of a team.
  • Good computer skills including experience using CBORD windows system.
