Deliver high level clinical education services to Nutrition and Dietetic students in paediatric placements and supervision support to the paediatric dietetics team within the Gold Coast Hospital and Health Service as delegated to optimise educational outcomes for students and staff.
The Role
An opportunity has become available for a Dietitian - Senior (Paediatric Clinical Educator) to join Gold Coast Health (GCH) where the focus of our 12 000-strong team is on providing world-class health care to people living in the Gold Coast, and northern New South Wales region of Australia.
You will
- Manage an allocated workload to deliver high level nutrition and dietetic services in GCHHS Children's Nutrition Services
- Coordinate orientation of students, student supervision, providing clinical education support for supervisors in paediatric nutrition and dietetics
- Apply professional judgement to complex situations using high level problem solving, decision making and conflict resolution skills
- Identify and contribute to the development of evidence based clinical practice, procedures, protocols and education materials
About you
To be successful in this position you will require:
- A tertiary degree (or equivalent) in Nutrition and Dietetics
- Blue card / Working with children check (GCH will cover cost)
- Evidence of vaccination, or be able to be vaccinated against and remain vaccinated against - Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Pertussis and Hepatitis B
- Tuberculosis screening, to identify if the tuberculosis vaccination may be required
- Declaration of serious discipline history must be disclosed
- Criminal History Screening will be required for new employees (GCH will cover cost)

Salary
- Permanent part time (15.2 hours per fortnight)
- Base salary ranging from $62.75 - $67.53 per hour
