Writing NSW is looking for an enthusiastic and highly organised Digital and Operations Officer to provide Digital and general administrative support for our diverse programs. You will be helping to drive digital content and engagement for our community of writers across NSW.

Writing NSW is the state’s leading provider of services to writers, including courses, seminars and workshops, writing groups, festivals and events, grants, prizes, and information resources. Based in beautiful Callan Park in Sydney’s Inner West, we are a not-for-profit organisation run by a small but passionate team.
What We Offer
– Flexible, part-time hours (12 hrs/wk)

About You
Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will provide support for member programs and services, assist with designing, delivering and maintaining digital services for writers and the organisation. This will include developing and adding content to our website, maintenance of our membership database, developing digital platforms and opportunities for writers, and reporting on issues/problems and suggesting solutions. Additionally, you will carry out day-to-day financial and general administration, respond to public inquiries, and undertake other tasks as required. Writing NSW is looking to expand its digital footprint and you will be a key driver in this process.
You will be an excellent communicator and team player, with the ability to manage multiple projects at a time. Consultative, but also able to work independently, you will demonstrate a rigorous attention to detail and a determination to get things right. Experience working in a member-based organisation and engagement with the writing community will be an advantage.
Selection Criteria
- Demonstrated experience in building and/or maintaining a website, preferably utilising Wordpress or similar
- Demonstrated experience in building and/or maintaining a customer/member/subscriber database
- Demonstrated experience in general administrative duties including customer service
- Demonstrated ability to identify problems and provide solutions.
- Demonstrated connections to the writing community of New South Wales
Please note that occasional weekend and evening work is required.
