The Digital and Website Officer sits within the Communication, Marketing and Customer Engagement section. The team deliver Council's digital media and Website services with a clear focus on innovation and creativity, and with the customer at the centre of all they do. This role provides an opportunity to assist with the maintenance of all digital media, online communications and engagement channels, as well as creating engaging, professional digital content.

Our ideal candidate has practical experience in the maintenance of complex websites including content, web design and development, as well as experience with content management systems and video production.

This position is required to provide quality customer service and create value for the community.

Key activities of this role include:

  • Maintain Council’s six websites including implementing website development, content management; integration enhancements with other Council systems and resolving outages, faults or issues; and coordinating these tasks with external providers if required
  • Maintaining and implementing the digital Help Desk including responding to enquiries within service level agreement timeframes; resolving issues; reporting and coordinating tasks with external providers if required
  • Maintaining and integrating Digital and Website activities including social networking, podcast development, online advertising and search engine to ensure continuous improvement and optimisation
  • Assist with the creation of engaging, professional digital content, such as videos, coordinating with external providers if required.

About You:

  • Ideally holding a Diploma of Applied Information Technology or Cert IV in Information Technology (web development) you have sound experience a similar role;
  • Technically savvy you are experienced in HTML, CSS, Javascript for web development and have skills in HTML coding for third party software (such as Hubspot), along with sound skills in content management systems;
  • You have experience in video production;
  • Your analytical skills are well developed across a range of digital platforms, ensuring you can identify trends and provide advice to optimise digital outcomes;
  • Your interpersonal and communication skills are strong, and you are customer focused and enjoy being part of a fast paced and supportive team.

This role provides a salary range of between $69.5k to $83.4k per annum + 11% superannuation.

A 9 day fortnight work-cycle currently applies to this role with flexible/hybrid working arrangements available.
