About the Role

As a Digital Change Manager, you will lead the execution of activities required to implement Digital Change initiatives with the vision of enabling a single digital front door for NAB customers and colleagues across mobile and web. You play a key role in transitioning change successfully to our customers and colleagues with a focus on the ownership of strategic change activities, artefacts and outcomes. This involves the professional use of organisational change management disciplines and the enterprise change framework to collaborate with stakeholders across NAB, to implement change successfully and safely.

This role will work directly with Product Owners, Business Analysts, Release Train Engineers and Business SMEs to deliver the change management work stream for a program of work/initiative.

You will often be the most senior or the only Change Management resource on a program/project and will play a critical role in driving the definition and successful completion of change management activities. You will either be dedicated full-time to a single program/initiative or work across several smaller initiatives simultaneously.  On larger programs of work, you may need to undertake more formal leadership responsibilities, requiring you to provide day-to-day direction, coaching and support to any reporting team members (Senior Change Analysts and/or Change Analysts) working on the program or project.

The role and day to day will include:

  • Provide the program/project with day-to-day change management leadership including recommendations for the change strategies, change approaches and interventions required to land the change successfully
  • Work across the stakeholder environment to prepare assessments on divisional/Domain impacts including scale, impact categorisation and stakeholder group mapping
  • Create comprehensive change management plans that consider the full scope of the change – including strategic consideration of the impact, stakeholder and readiness landscape
  • Delivery of the change work as per agreed plans, ensuring co-ordination and integration of activities across the program/project. This can include Communications plans, briefing materials, colleague training and content, performance support materials
  • Proactively identify, escalate (where appropriate) and manage risks and issues with the potential to impact on the delivery of change management activities or program/project plans.
  • Develop a Change Management Strategy for the program/initiatives that meets the needs of stakeholders and the scale of expected impacts
  • Liaise directly with other internal functions as required to ensure any external communication activities applicable to the program/project are completed.
  • Assess stakeholder readiness for the change and determine the success of the change management efforts.
  • Drive ongoing improvements to the Digital Domain change management pipeline process and strategy, and overall visibility across the domain, in collaboration with the domain change management team and Domain Operations Manager. 

What you will bring:

  • Demonstrated in-depth experience working in a similar Senior Change Manager role in a large complex organisation, preferably across the Financial Services sector
  • Proven extensive change management experience gained on a range of medium to large scale projects or programs, including some experience working on Digital Change / transformation initiatives
  • Experience leading small to medium sized teams
  • Track record in managing and influencing relationships at a senior level in the organisation
  • Strong consulting, process consultation and group facilitation skills
  • Experience working in an Agile environment
  • Relevant tertiary qualification in business or related discipline such as Organisational Change and Development
