The role
As the Digital Engineering Manager, you will be responsible for leading the Centre of Excellence within Liveable Water Solutions (LWS) for Digital Engineering.
The purpose of the role is to set the vision and lead a small high performing team responsible for transforming and developing digital technology systems and processes supporting infrastructure assets in collaboration with other work groups and business functions.
The role will provide functional leadership of Digital Engineering and its governance across the organisation and is responsible for setting the Digital Engineering strategy, framework and roadmap, influence, coach and support stakeholders and people across the business through a matrix structure, increasing South East Water's maturity in Digital Engineering across the business.
Who are you?
The successful candidate will have a relevant tertiary qualification in engineering or science, and ideally CPEng and Victorian registration.
The following key skills, knowledge and experience will also be required in order to flourish in the role:
- Strong experience leading a business through change to achieve sustainable high performing organisational objectives.
- Demonstrated experience in Digital Engineering leadership roles with a strong knowledge of Digital Engineering governance, processes and tools.
- Demonstrated experience working on cross functional, multidiscipline improvement projects is essential.
- Demonstrated experience in the development, approval and implementation of organisational improvement objectives, strategies and actions plans is essential.
- Knowledge of ISO55000 standard series and the Victorian Government's Asset Management Accountability Framework.
- Working knowledge of Water, sewerage and resource recovery infrastructure.
- A high level of data and digital literacy.
- Ability to manage ambiguity to solve complex challenges at senior organisational levels within a regulated environment.
- Proven ability to challenge the status quo, drive results, leverage technology and demonstrates resourcefulness for industry leading / fit for purpose solutions.
- Demonstrated leadership, management, and stakeholder engagement capability as well as sound negotiation and communication skills.
- Excellent written communication skills in the preparation of reports and papers.
- A certification and/or post graduate qualification in Digital Transformation and Asset Management is preferred, and a Project Management qualification will be highly regarded.
