We're a well-established and successful printing business operating Carlton for over 30 years. With the help and hard work of our dedicated and enthusiastic team and our loyal customer base, we survived the COVID years and we're beginning to grow again! It's an exciting time and we expect the business to continue to go from strength to strength.
To support this growth, we're looking for an energetic Digital Printing/Customer Service specialist to fill a part-time role.
This is an exciting opportunity to join our dynamic team and to play an integral role in driving the business forward.
The Role:
You will be required to help serve our customers and provide guidance and advice on artwork setup, paper options, print specs, and so on. With this, you’ll ideally have some experience working in a digital print environment.
You will also be responsible for completing print jobs, ensuring maximum quality and quick turn-around. Some experience working with digital printing presses, large format printers and various finishing equipment including guillotines, laminators, binding, etc, will be helpful.
You will also ideally have some knowledge of Adobe programs, such as InDesign, Photoshop, as well as the ability to communicate effectively and professionally directly with customers.
The role will be a part-time one at around 3 days per week with some flexibility around the actual working days. We currently operate from 8.30am to 5.30pm each day, but may extend this as business grows.
There may be an opportunity for the role to become full-time in the future if business demands dictate.
The Company:
The business supplies a wide range of print products and design services, most of which are produced in-house. Our internal capabilities include all types of ‘small format’ digital printing, large format prints including vinyl adhesive, banner printing, etc., and other complementary products including foamboard mounts, bookbinding, etc.
Our customer base is diverse, consisting of large corporate clients, small to medium business, universities and students, general consumers and general 'walk-in' customers.
We're located in Swanston St in Carlton, close to the CBD and with easy access to public transport and other amenities.
Skills & Attributes
The successful candidate will be a confident, professional and well organised self-starter with good initiative and strong work ethic. You will have strong customer service skills, will ideally be experienced with operating digital printers and RIP software, and have an eye for quality and a natural desire to make customers happy. It’s preferable that you have experience with Adobe programs, such as InDesign, Photoshop & Illustrator.
Importantly, you will have the ability to 'fit' within the young and enthusiastic team and contribute to the positive team dynamic that currently exists.
