The Product Owner will collaborate with internal and external stakeholders and lead the delivery of an online portal project workstream to enable product planning to respond to business needs.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage stakeholder engagement to undertake product planning.
- Lead the prioritisation and evaluation of the work and assure quality of the outputs
- Work closely with the development team for sprint planning, sprint showcases, sprint retrospectives and other Agile meetings
- Coordinate release planning and development, for features and scaling and product roadmap
- Manage the product backlog, ensuring it is visible, transparent, and clear
- Lead and assist with recruitment of project resources in collaboration with the Iteration Manager and Program Manager
- Assist the organisational change manager/change analysts with deliverables identified in the change management strategy
- Engage service design teams to understand dynamics and goals of users, coordinate showcases and information sharing strategies
Essential Criteria:
- A mimimum of 5 years' experience as a Digital Product Owner in large complex organisations, preferably in government
- Aminimum of 5 years' experience with agile delivery and practices
- Advanced knowledge of Agile development methodologies
- Highly Desirable - Experience working in the government sector with educational products, practices, policies, and trends
