What’s your role?
The Digital Product Owner is responsible for ensuring Bupa is building the right product, and the team ensures we are building that product in the right way to drive commercial value for the business and attract new customers. You understand customer needs and the business’ goals, and actively collaborates with the development team and the stakeholders to make fast, local and empowered decisions for the team.
Please note this is a remote 9 month fixed term contract opportunity.
What will your day look like?
The role will liaise with the Product Manager, business stakeholders and technical development teams to deliver complex Digital Products & services.
Define the stories and acceptance criteria to deliver the minimum viable product for product launch and successive iteration and horizon mapping.
Ensure focus on relevant stories and priority of team backlog and roadmap.
Communicate and motivate the delivery team with the product vision communicating the business benefits of the product / features.
Create, prioritise and maintain the team backlog, defining release and sprint goals.
Continually act as the voice of the customer and business in all situations
Continuous communication with stakeholders to seek alignment.
Act as the ‘glue’ between the customer, the business and the delivery team
Take ownership and think creatively to solve complex problems, situations, or opportunities.
Influence outcomes and gain the active co-operation of others in the business.
What will you bring?
3-5 year’s demonstrated experience working as a Product Owner within a large corporate environment.
Strong experience working within Agile Delivery environment.
Solid knowledge of Lean product and customer development.
Experience understanding customer journeys and website optimisation.
Excellent communication skills and pride yourself in having all your stakeholders aligned.
Ability to prioritise and create a manageable team backlog with items that can be realised.
Ability to take product vision or goal and break it in to valuable and deliverable slices with the team.
Demonstrated experience explaining the product strategy, creating support at middle management and motivating the delivery team with vision and sprint goals.
An appreciation for Human Centred Design.
Experience working across multiple streams in a fast paced, dynamic, and collaborative environment.
An analytical focus with an appreciation of data analysis, commercial drivers, business viability and technical feasibility.
