The Role:
The Direct Marketing and Events Coordinator will be at the heart of the fundraising efforts for the charity, driving forward their fundraising Direct Marketing campaigns and event initiatives with creativity and passion.
This role will report directly to the General Manager of Fundraising and Marketing and will work closely with a small team. In this role you will have the freedom to unleash innovative ideas and lead the charge in creating unforgettable experiences for their supporters through managing Direct Marketing campaigns including appeals, peer-to-peer fundraising campaigns, third party community fundraising and events.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the conceptualisation, organisation, and oversight of fundraising and marketing initiatives, ensuring they align seamlessly with the brand identity and messaging.
- Manage multiple campaigns concurrently, effectively prioritising tasks and allocating resources to achieve optimal results for each initiative.
- Develop and implement campaigns within designated timeframes and budgets and continuously assess performance metrics to refine strategies as necessary.
- Leverage data-driven insights and analytical tools to enhance donor outreach strategies and acquisition efforts.
- Collaborate closely with program colleagues to identify and implement community-centric fundraising initiatives.
- Strategise and execute community fundraising events, both in virtual and physical settings, ensuring their success and impact.
- Craft compelling narratives and materials to captivate donors and nurture enduring connections.
- Provide oversight and guidance for peer-to-peer fundraising initiatives, supporting participants throughout the planning and execution phases.
- Qualifications in Fundraising, Marketing, or Events.
- Previous related experience in a similar role, preferably in the nonprofit sector.
- Proven stakeholder management skills.
- Excellent project management and organisational skills.
- High attention to detail and creative capabilities to write content.
- Intermediate skills in Microsoft 365 and Canva.
- Experience with fundraising databases (Salesforce preferred).
- Ability to work effectively with staff and be flexible in approach.
- Approved Working with Children’s Check (in the relevant state).
- Clear National Police Check.
