 About the role:

Wesley Mission Queensland is transforming and due to some recent changes in our executive team we are seeking a Director of Ageing Well. Reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer, the Director Ageing Well role is at the forefront of driving impactful initiatives and strategic reforms in aged care and seniors living. As the Director Ageing Well, you will lead our dedicated team in delivering quality and sustainable care services across multiple streams, including Residential Aged Care, Community Aged Care, Retirement Living, and Seniors Respite Services.

Supported by skilled and experienced senior leaders in each Ageing Well stream, you will have the opportunity to make a tangible difference in the lives of senior Australians, ensuring they receive the highest standards of care and support. Your innovative ideas and strategic vision will shape the future of aged care, creating positive outcomes for both residents and staff.

As a key member of the WMQ Executive Leadership Team, collaboration and teamwork are at the heart of what we do. You will have the opportunity to work closely with other executive leaders to drive organizational success and foster a culture of excellence.

Essential Criteria

  1. Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in business / or related field
  2. Experience leading and driving transformational change at an executive level, across multiple teams; in aged care, and seniors living, with proven record of successful execution of organisational strategies in alignment with organisational values.
  3. Proven ability to develop, implement and deliver operational and strategic reforms within a complex and challenging business environment.
  4. Demonstrated financial and business acumen with proven success in driving financial sustainability.
  5. Demonstrated collaborative leadership skills that reflect the vision and values of Wesley Mission Queensland and the wider Uniting Church.
  6. Proof of Vaccination Status as required by Legislation, Health Directives or WMQ Policy throughout employment and prior to commencement.
  7. Relevant probity checks required by legislation and WMQ policy.
  8. Current Driver's Licence and willingness to drive in the course of work.
