Director, Business Transformation and Change
Job Description:The Director, Business Transformation and Change under direction of Executive Branch Manager and the Program Manager is responsible for providing leadership in planning, executing, and reinforcing the changes to people, process, and systems as part of the delivery of programs. The Director is expected to manage the operational inputs, processes, and outputs of the change management program of work and provide administrative, technical knowhow to achieve program result in line with the goals of the ACT government policy and procedures. The Director provides advice and input into the development, implementation and monitoring of plans and activities including communications, stakeholder management, change impact assessments, benefits realisation, business readiness analysis, training, and knowledge transfer. In this role the Director is expected to lead the management, liaison and negotiation with other elements of the organisation, or other government agencies as requested. The Director will represent Major Programs Branch and the programs being delivered as a program change specialist within the Directorate and at meetings, conferences, or seminars. The position requires a communication and Change management professional with experienced in transformation programs. The role requires organisational skills, self-motivation, and attention to detail. With additional experience in building capability uplift, an awareness of training principles and a knowledge of the training resources with Train the Trainer Accreditation.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
• Working within a complex government organisation and with external vendors, develop and lead the Business Transformation strategy to support adoption of the changes required across the ACT public service for a whole of government technology capability Program.
• Lead the development and implementation of program stakeholder engagement strategies and communication plans to ensure the successful implementation of the Business Transformation program.
• Lead stakeholder engagement with a focus on benefits management and realisation.
• Provide high level advice and support to the Executive Branch Manager and other senior management and staff in the execution of the Business Transformation aspects of the Program.
• Engage and influence key internal and external stakeholders and build and maintain effective networks and relationships to achieve the change management objectives of the program.
• Lead the change for all stakeholders across the ACT public system to ensure effective program delivery that is aligned with the business case and determined benefits.
• Undertaking other duties appropriate to this level of classification that contribute to the Branch.
