Role DetailsThe Director, Cabinet Office is responsible for overseeing the provision of high-quality strategic advice and secretariat services to Cabinet. The Director will work with government departments and Ministers offices to provide quality control and strategic input into advice for the Premier as chair of Cabinet. The Director will liaise closely with and support the Cabinet Secretary. The Director is also responsible for providing quality advice and secretariat services to the Governor as Chair of Executive Council, and for leading the Boards and Committees function. The Director will work closely with DPC colleagues to ensure well-coordinated management and delivery of advice to the Deputy Chief Executive, the Chief Executive, the Premier and Governor. The Director may take discrete responsibility for particular issues or projects as determined in consultation with the Deputy Chief Executive.Special Conditions

• The Incumbent will be required to participate in the department's Performance Management Program.
• The Incumbent may be assigned to another position at this remuneration level or equivalent.
• Some work outside of normal hours will be required.
• Some interstate travel involving overnight absences will be required.
• This role requires a National Criminal History check.
• This role requires Security Clearance (to level of Security Clearance Secret) to be obtained during employment.
• May be required to participate in the State Crisis Centre during exercises and incidents.

Essential Criteria

• Possess a discipline relevant tertiary qualification.
