Position Title: Director Clinical ServicesEmployment Type: Ongoing full-timeAward: Proposed Nurses and Midwives (Victorian Public Health Sector) (Single Interest Employers) Enterprise Agreement 2020-2024Role descriptionThe Director is responsible for providing operational management and leadership of Clinical Services at Dhelkaya Health and will consult and work collaboratively with internal and external service providers, partners, stakeholders, staff and consumers to achieve service innovations and continuously improve practices. The primary role of the Director is to ensure the highest level of care is provided to patients requiring acute care at Dhelkaya Health. This requires the delivery of evidence based, safe and effective clinical care and support. This is a senior role leading a key directorate that contributes to Dhelkaya Health's vision and purpose. The person in this role will be a champion of Dhelkaya Health's values and purpose, and will promote and drive commitment to the Health Service's strategic objectives. Staff working at this level are expected to manage work practices for the health and wellbeing of staff, promote and adopt a balanced and positive approach to work and ensure health and safety risks are addressed in a working environment free from harassment and discrimination.The direct reports to the role include:The Unit Managers of:

• Operating theatre
• Geroe Unit (Urgent care centre and inpatient care)
• Connolly (rehabilitation, GEM, TCP)
• Maternity Services
• The Director of Pharmacy
• The Director is responsible for the relationship and quality of service delivery by the Radiology and Pathology vendors

About you

• Registration as a Registered Nurse with the Nurses and Midwives Board of Australia and hold a current practicing certificate.
• At least three years' experience in senior roles in health management.
• Postgraduate qualification in health or management or working towards same is preferred
• Proven senior level experience in effectively leading professional nursing services with an emphasis on developing and sustaining effective and strategic service models that contribute to improvements in patient/resident safety and care
