Deputy Director Clinical Services

This senior position provides clinical and operational leadership, workforce and fiscal management as part of the senior leadership team to support the DCS in meeting the organisation’s operational, business and workforce objectives.
Qualifications/ Key Selection Criteria
Essential
- Relevant registration with the Nursing & Midwifery Board of Australia
- Post-graduate qualifications in Management or relevant specialty
- Minimum 3–5 years’ experience working at a middle management level within the health care industry.
- Proven ability to successfully lead and motivate a Clinical Services team providing strong strategic direction and positive leadership.
- Proven strategic planning, workforce analysis and policy development skills.
- Demonstrated ability to lead accreditation and apply relevant legislative requirements across the hospital/ Clinical Services departments.
- Knowledge and understanding of contemporary clinical risk management strategies that are effective in promoting and ensuring high quality patient care.
- Demonstrated sound financial management & administrative skills in a hospital setting.
Desirable
- Demonstrated understanding of private health sector funding models
- Master’s or working towards same (Business, Health, Nursing).
