An exciting new leadership opportunity has just opened up for a Director, Commercial Services in the Department of Health! In this role, you will provide leadership across the Supply Chain Surety branch to ensure a high quality, resilient and responsive supply chain service is provided for frontline healthcare workers. The position leads the Governance and Compliance, Commercial Performance and Sustainable Business Practices teams and functions for the branch.
The Director, Commerical Services will establish and maintain commercial performance management frameworks to deliver and monitor the branches performance against budget, operating position, key performance indicators and activity. Ensuring efficiency of service delivery, with a particular focus on workforce effectiveness, and financial and commercial performance.
About Supply Chain Surety branch:
Supply Chain Surety is a branch in Corporate Services Division (CSD) supporting the supply of clinical goods, pharmaceuticals and linen products to the Hospital and Health Services (HHS), Queensland Health. The branch is comprised of functions critical to Queensland Health's supply response, including Supply Chain Services, Central Pharmacy, Group Linen Services and Operations. This branch brings together an end-to-end supply chain function from demand planning through to warehousing and distribution into a single integrated branch led by the Executive Director. The Branch supports clients and stakeholders across the Department of Health, all Hospital and Health Services, Queensland Government and some external agencies.
What we are looking for:
Demonstrated high level ability to lead and manage both at a strategic and operational level, a large complex business unit that is focussed on supporting and integrating quality supply chain and distribution services within a performance management and outcome driven environment.
Demonstrated well developed communication, interpersonal and negotiation skills at a senior management level with a track record in fostering effective and productive relationships with clients, strategic partners and key stakeholders.
Demonstrated high-level ability to provide leadership and expert advice on issues relating to strategic commercial management, business improvement and the ability to provide strategic input to the resolution of related issues across HHSs, the Department of Health and key strategic clients and partners.
