Join our team as the Director Food & Beverage at The Star Brisbane.
The Star Brisbane, positioned at the heart of the new Queen’s Wharf Brisbane precinct, will be Australia’s newest entertainment and leisure destination. Commencing a staged opening in 2024, The Star Brisbane will bring a range of unique entertainment options, world class hotels, dining, bars, luxury retail, gaming and a state-of-the-art Event Centre, transforming how people will play, shop and socialise in the river city.
The Director Food & Beverage, reporting to the General Manager of Food and Beverage, offers a unique opportunity to lead the operational performance of our Food & Beverage department. This role will see you joining Australia’s largest integrated resort.
As Director, your key priorities will be to lead the operational teams on making growth focused decisions that optimise our food and beverage department. You will also demonstrate your passion for the business and achieving positive results for The Star Brisbane. You will take a lead in project management of new concept as well as venue development and other improvement initiatives.
A few of your responsibilities
- Leverage food and beverage workstreams and projects to develop, implement and monitor initiatives designed to achieve sustainable profitable results and guest excellence
- Support all venues in the achievement of their financial and commercial targets by building a culture of accountability with venue managers and their teams
- Work with Marketing and venue teams to successfully deliver promotions and activations and new concepts
- Recommend strategies and initiatives to the General Manager relating to increasing repeat guests, driving revenue and costs to meet budget
- Work with the Guest Experience team to support all guest related service standards to build a culture of consistent guest excellence
What we will be looking for
- Demonstrated experience at a senior management level within an international opening of casino, entertainment or hospitality property.
- Excellent leadership skills across planning, execution and team engagement
- Demonstrated ability in developing productive relationships, stakeholder influencing and managing and driving change.
- Strong awareness of key market trends

You will be able to demonstrate a proven track record of success in the hospitality industry and show case you're understanding at a senior leadership level.

Your role will involve shaping the overall food and beverage strategy, ensuring exceptional guest satisfaction, and collaborating seamlessly with our talented culinary and food and beverage teams.
