If so, let's start the conversation.The JobThe Director GSRS APAC reports to the Vice President of Global Safety, Risk and Security (GSRS) and has a regionally centered role focused on Safety, Security, Resiliency, ERM and Risk Management initiatives for the Asia Pacific region.As the GSRS Director for Asia Pacific, the role is responsible for safeguarding Iron Mountain’s Human Capital, Physical Assets, Customer Assets, Supply Chain, Intellectual Property as well as IRM’s Reputation in the Asia Pacific region. The Director is the GSRS Subject Matter Expert (SME) in the region who precisely identifies and evaluates those risks that would have a negative impact on Iron Mountain and is responsible for developing, implementing and enhancing risk mitigation strategies in collaboration with the appropriate business functions across the region.The Director will work closely with senior leadership across all business lines within APAC to identify, monitor and help mitigate risks by contributing to define an appropriate regional risk taxonomy utilising established risk tools and governance aligning with Iron Mountain’s Risk Appetite.The Responsibilities
- Lead a cadre of GSRS professionals within the APAC focused on protecting our workforce, workplace, customer assets, our intellectual property and our reputation
- Oversee and direct IRM’s GSRS initiatives in APAC that includes implementing and maturing programs, policies and process associated with
- Physical Security (CCTV/Access Control/Intrusion Detection)
- Supply Chain Security (CTPAT/AEO/STP)
- Occupational Safety
- Operational Resilience
- Global Standards related to
- Digital Scanning
- Records and Information Management (RIM)
- Fine Arts
- Asset Life Cycle Management
- Warehousing & Logistics
- Lead and direct cross-functional teams and programs within APAC associated with reducing
- Workplace Violence
- External/Internal Theft of physical and/or digital assets
- APAC Total Recordable Incident Rate (TRIR)
- Drive all initiatives related to vendor compliance (security service providers/systems integrators/security consultants) in support of the GSRS vision and mission
- Collaborate with Legal to ensure all contractual language with vendors and suppliers ensures adherence to Iron Mountain’s Security and Safety standards and expectations as well as meeting any local regulatory requirements
- Collaborate with Global Real Estate, Human Resources, Legal, Internal Audit, Global Investigations, Global Procurement, Global Operations and Commercial teams to reduce risk while enhancing business enablement
- Lead security response to any physical security incident within APAC
- Lead safety initiatives across APAC ensuring IRM provides a safe and secure work environment while promoting our core value of owning safety and Security
- Partner with Global Resiliency to identify key risk indicators with APAC and corresponding business lines to ensure a holistic approach to risk mitigation to prevent or mitigate any business disruption (natural and/or man-made)
- Partner with Information Security to ensure each link in the value chain is protected from cyber attacks involving malware, piracy, unauthorized access or DDOS
- Liaise as appropriate with governmental agencies to further GSRS mission
- Minimum of 10-15+ years of progressively responsible Global Security, Safety and/or Resiliency within an organisation having multiple operating sites across APAC
- Fully developed knowledge of Safety, Security & Resiliency strategies, techniques and technologies
- Demonstrable experience integrating leading-edge technology, human capital and simplified processes to increase program efficacy while realising efficiencies
- Ability to effectively prioritise tasks and use risk based analysis to advance innovative solutions to resolve issues in alignment with business goals
- Ability to respond effectively to senior leadership in a credible and powerful fashion
- Must have a strong track record of leading successful teams and functional disciplines
- Experience building and leading regional teams through a matrixed environment, managing performance at all levels, developing people, creating engagement. Decisive actions on people leadership
- Possess the skills and knowledge to assist in direct customer facing activities including customer presentations, requests for proposals and Security audits.
- Strong problem solving skills, along with exceptional communication skills, both written and oral
- Must have excellent interpersonal skills, and strong leadership qualities, and have the ability to effectively interact across all functions and at all levels of the organisation.
- An undergraduate degree is required, although a postgraduate degree in a relevant discipline is preferred
- Professional certifications in physical security, safety and/or resiliency is preferred. CPP, PSP, ISO 28001 Auditor, TAPA Certified Auditor, ISO 45001, ISO 22301, etc.
