Overview
As the Director, Governance and University Secretary, you will have the opportunity to help guide the transformation of the University. You will lead the ongoing review and recommendation of the University’s internal governance framework to deliver continuous improvement. Your contributions will make a significant impact on the students, staff, and community at the University of New England (UNE).

Key Responsibilities:
- Report to the Vice-Chancellor and CEO on management and operational matters concerning policy, compliance, and risk functions.
- Support the University Council through the Chancellor on governance matters, including supporting the Deputy Chancellor and Chairs of Committees.
- Coordinate executive governance functions and manage Governance, Policy, Risk, Compliance, Records Management, and Secretariat requirements.
- Contribute to the management of the University’s key compliance obligations as part of the University Compliance Framework.

- You are a seasoned executive with a proven track record in business success.
- You have extensive experience managing governance processes and leading continuous improvements within large and complex organizations.
- You excel at building strong relationships with a diverse range of internal stakeholders.
- You possess strong interpersonal skills, are a skilled influencer, and have well-developed critical thinking skills and decisive judgment.
- You are a team player capable of managing multiple initiatives and deadlines.
