Details: As the Director of HR and Training, you will be responsible for the day-to-day operation and coordination of the Human Resources function for Capital Linen Service in Mitchell.

The role will oversee all HR operations and lead the planning and implementation for people centred initiatives across workforce strategy, capability and learning and development.

As an integral leader of CLS, you will connect people to support and opportunities by:

⦁Designing and managing training programs to enhance skills and knowledge, safety, quality, output, efficiency, and customer satisfaction.
⦁Championing an inclusive and respectful environment where staff performance, development and job satisfaction is valued and prioritised.
⦁Ensuring workforce capacity is managed and sufficient to meet customer demand in line with financial constraints and organisational objectives.
⦁Contributing to a consistent and positive experience for all customers and the community.

The role will also oversee the:

⦁Recruitment, learning and development and rostering and time attendance systems.  
⦁Management of HR and payroll related administration  
⦁Coordination of workplace conflict resolution

This position involves direct supervision of a small team of four staff and the management of small transient teams as required.

Professional / Technical Skills and Knowledge

1.Strong industrial relations experience with a proven track record of interpreting legislation that informs and drives workforce strategy with positive organisational outcomes.
2.Extensive experience leading and delivering engagement, recruitment and learning development initiatives and plans.
3.Established ability to effectively lead and develop a team to optimise business practice, process, opportunity and improved culture.

Behavioural Capabilities

1.Highly developed communication (verbal and written), representational and interpersonal skills, demonstrated ability to maintain productive working relationships with team members, internal and external stakeholders.
2.Demonstrated ability to develop innovative practice and achieve transformational change for improved service outcomes and service delivery to the community.
3. Demonstrated understanding and commitment to the TCCS Values framework, workplace respect, equity and diversity framework, workplace health and safety best practice and industrial democracy principles and practise.

Compliance Requirements / Qualifications:

1.Driver’s licence C Class is essential.
2.Tertiary qualification in Human Resources Management or a minimum of 5 years experience in the field are highly desirable
3.Experienced user of Microsoft office programs
