The Opportunity
The Innovation Centre opened in 2002 and has grown through University, Council, State and Commonwealth support. The Innovation Centre is well placed to deliver this given a purpose built 1,700 square metre facility and a track record of having assisted over 200 resident members since opening.
In 2022, the Innovation Centre underwent a strategic update based on extensive community and industry consultation. The Centre will offer an array of business development and innovation opportunities provided by UniSC and our partners. The refocused Innovation Centre will strongly connect with the skills development, research and partnership opportunities afforded by UniSC and be an active link to the broader innovation ecosystem.
Under the broad direction of the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Research and Innovation), the Director, Innovation Centre will work with a high degree of autonomy and is responsible for providing strategic advice, leadership and development of key activities of the Innovation Centre.

  • commercialisation activities ranging from licencing to assist with tranche funding, venture capital and angel investors;

We have 26 research fields ranked at – or well above – world standard according to the most recent Excellence in Research for Australia Rankings.
