This position will be required to initiate, implement and operationalise strategies for the WNHS as part of North Metropolitan Health Service (NMHS) and Department of Health WA.WNHS is the leading State provider of a range of services including obstetric, gynaecology, gynaeoncology and a range of unique services for women.The Director Midwifery & Nursing (DOMN) works collaboratively with the Nursing/Midwifery Executive Team, to provide strategic leadership, direction and professional advice relating to clinical and professional policy,, quality and safety of patient care, service delivery models, workforce, and evidence based practice. The DOMN has operational governance over a range of nursing and midwife services including Infection, Prevention and Control, Patient Flow, and the daily nursing and midwifery staffing requirements of the Hospital. As a tertiary teaching hospital, Service Co-Directors have a role to lead state-wide issues associated with women and newborn health.
