About the Role
We seek a motivated and experienced Director of Clinical Services with a specialty in Clinical Governance and Risk Management. You will play a pivotal role in shaping the clinical direction of our hospital, ensuring the highest quality of care for our patients. You will lead a multidisciplinary team of clinicians and collaborate with other key stakeholders to drive continuous improvement, innovation while maximising patient experiences across all specialities.
As part of the hospital executive management team and reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, you will be based onsite at Springwood. Your responsibilities will include:
Ensuring safe, patient-centred care
- Oversee and implement protocols to ensure the safety and well-being of patients.
- Develop strategies to enhance the patient experience and satisfaction.
Compliance with Standards and Regulations
- Ensure adherence to NSQHS (National Safety and Quality Health Service) Standards.
- Maintain accreditation and compliance with relevant industry standards and regulations.
Quality Management and Oversight
- Provide direction and support for effective quality systems.
- Establish standardised delivery of Clinical governance and Risk Management.
- Develop and implement frameworks promoting best practices in Clinical Services.
Strategic Direction and Leadership
- Provide strategic direction and oversight for all Clinical Services.
- Collaborate with external partners to ensure comprehensive client support.
Team Management and Development
- Lead the recruitment process for clinical staff in coordination with HR.
- Mentor and support clinicians, offering supervision, guidance, and mentoring.
- Cultivate a positive work culture emphasising professional development among staff.
Performance Monitoring and Financial Management
- Monitor performance indicators related to quality assurance and service outcomes.
- Conduct regular audits to assess adherence to clinical protocols.
- Manage allocated budgets for Clinical Services, ensuring cost-effective practices.
Prior Experience and Skills
The ideal candidate will possess:
- A Bachelor's degree in healthcare, nursing, or related field
- Demonstrated track record in Clinical Governance and Risk Management within private hospital operations
- Proven experience with NSQHS Standards Accreditation processes
- History of policy and procedure development and dissemination
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills across all organizational levels
- Proficiency in contributing to compliance, policy, and process improvement
